The Rally for Ally Bike Run, held on Sunday, June 26th, was a great success, and a lot of fun. We couldn't have done it without you! Thanks to the Walpole VFW Post for hosting the Rally. Thanks for all the donations of cash, raffle items, and food. Thanks to the bands for entertaining us, and thank you to everyone who turned out that day.     Ally Updates

    September 24 - Ally had a challenging summer, but she has moved to the Neuro-Rehab Center in Middleboro, MA, a facility that focuses on traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. She is receiving physical, occupational, and speech therapy throughout the week.
    July 14: Ally successfully transferred from the Hebrew to Braintree rehab today. Like Spaulding, Braintree is an acute rehab where Ally will be getting 3 hours of therapy a day. She will be working with medical professionals who specialize in brain injury and minimally conscious patients.
    May 27: This week, Ally was transferred from BI to a medical acute care unit that specializes in medically complex cases to continue recovering from a challenging stay in ICU. She has had a tough May but is fighting through it! Thanks for all your prayers and support! Thanks to the BIDMC MICU-6 nursing staff.
    May 22: Ally is still in ICU at BI as she continues to fight off an infection. This has been a challenging month for Ally and her family.
    May 8: Ally continues to recover from her infection. She's had a challenging week and continues to amaze us all with her strength.
    May 3: Ally was admitted to Beth Israel in order to treat an infection.
    April 23: Ally is still working hard to become more alert through her therapies and medical treatments. The doctors say that she needs time for her brain to heal, and family and friends are offering her has much support and love that they can during that process. For those of you who haven't been able to see Ally, she looks absolutely beautiful. Thanks for keeping Ally in your thoughts and prayers!
    March 26: Ally has been fighting off a pneumonia that is now out of her system. Despite the challenge, Ally continued with all of her therapies.
    March 12: Ally undergoes about three hours of therapy every day but Sunday.
    February 23 : Ally returned to Spaulding on February 15th and has since been upgraded to "minimally conscious stage".
    February 11 : Ally's cranioplasty went well and she is recovering in ICU now and then will be heading back to Spaulding to resume rehab.
    January 26th : Ally headed to Spaulding Boston for rehabilitation. The team there is providing Ally with PT, OT, and excellent medical attention aimed at helping Ally out of her coma. Ally's Road to Recovery Facebook page is a good way to stay updated!

    The Rally for Ally fundraiser on Saturday, February 12 at Finnegan's Wake, 7 Glenwood Ave, Walpole was a great success. Friends, family, community members and well wishers from all over turned out to support our first fundraiser - we raised over $55,000 that night! Check out the Rally for Ally photo page. Thanks to the many Walpole and local town businesses that allowed us to place Rally signs and donation jars in their shops!

    Running for Ally: April 18th!

    Congratulations to James Fahey, of the Hope Strengthens Foundation, who ran the 115th Boston Marathon on April 18th. We hope you were able to get out there and cheer Jimmy on. Donations made to Hope Strengthens Foundation on behalf of Ally are donated to ASF. The Hope Strengthens Foundation is a 501(c)(3), so donations to the Hope Strengthens Foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Read more about the 2011 Marathon and check out the photos.
